I wrote an article at Live to be Alive about my own struggle and rediscovery of passion.  It’s very personal and I spent a great deal of time writing it. I hope it inspires you.

Also, I added an Inspirational category to the Articles page.  From now on, I’ll be linking to some of my articles from Live to be Alive.  It doesn’t make sense for me to put the same article on two websites or write two articles on the same topic. I feel very passionate about what I write, and I feel that some of it could be helpful to visitors of OWLS Entertainment. I’m trying to share my work with as many people as possible.

Here’s a link to the article: Passion for Life

I’m still working like crazy on this and my other website.  Most of the work I’ve been doing now is search engine optimization and building awareness.  I added a Site Map that helps both human and nonhuman visitors to navigate the site.

I joined some social networking sites to help build a community for OWLS Entertainment. On the new Links Page, you will see that OWLS Entertainment is now on Facebook and Myspace.  I have also linked to the Youtube and blip.tv pages because I’m trying to build a stronger following on those sites.

I’ve also been learning a lot about optimizing the site to make it run better by redirecting urls and modifying the .htaccess file. In the future, I’ll write a tutorial (or make a video) about this so that other people know how to do it. I’m also still submitting my videos to a lot of different sharing sites to try and get more viewers. Matty McDance Dance Debut to the Max has over 20,000 views on Yahoo! Video.

I sure have a lot of links on this post! Stay tuned for a lot more info coming soon. I’m hoping to shoot some videos in the coming weeks. I haven’t done that for a while, and I’m looking forward to it!

Well, it turns out my passion for this website isn’t gone. In fact, I’ve done nothing but work on it for the last three days! All of the movies are now hosted on blip.tv, so they won’t eat into my bandwidth. Also, this is the first time I have advertisements on a website. Most of the videos have ads that play while you watch them. I’m hoping to make an income off of this so that I can spend my time creating more content instead of working at some other job.

It’s interesting that I came back to this site thinking about shutting it down, but now I’m working on it more than ever. I do still enjoy making people laugh, making funny movies, and just doing stupid, silly, creative things. I also still enjoy thinking deeply about life and sharing wisdom, but that’s why I have Live to be Alive (previously JayPavlina.com). Once again I’m working on both.

I need to learn more about balance. It seems that I either do something one hundred percent or not at all. I’m going to try to update both sites consistently, although there are times early next year when I won’t be able to. I like that I can write blog entries and have them post at a later date, but I don’t now how to update this site automatically. Maybe there is a way…

You can look forward to many updates. And I also have tons of ideas for new videos. I’d do music, but I don’t have my keyboard any more. I never have a problem with a limit of ideas. It’s just a matter of if I take the time to do them and if I have the capabilities to execute them. But if I truly want to do something, I always find a way. You can look forward to a new series of videos as long as everything turns out the way I currently see it.

Also, many of the updates I’m doing are not directly on the site. For example, I’m releasing a lot of my movies on video sharing sites, and that’s quite a lot of work. I’m hoping I won’t run into copyright issues with some of my older movies, but if I do, I’ll take them down. And that means I just have to make more movies to replace them!

I don’t know exactly what will happen, but for now, I plan on growing this website as much as possible. There is tons of content I want to create, including movies, music, games, cartoons, articles, stories, and much more. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens. Thanks for your support.
